There was a massive reaction to our beer poll. Close to 1000 of you completed the survey. We have a team of hung-over statisticians currently working with calculators and crayons to produce some garish pie chats to illustrate our findings. We are seeking a media partner to extrapolate the conclusions. Coming soon to a Sunday supplement near you. It will be on the site too. If you didn't get a chance the last time, the poll is still up at
http://www.brewcrew.ie/beerpoll.htm

Breeda Crowley from Stillorgan was our beer poll keg winner. We have a page listing all previous winners at the link below. http://www.brewcrew.ie/winstuff.htm

You're right, we have set-up an online area for T-shirt sales. There are a limited number of designs there at present. Expect to see the range increase very shortly. Once we settle on a leading design we intend to reward regular customers with free shirts. Stuff like 'free t-shirt with every 3 keg party'. For now, you can buy them at http://www.brewcrew.ie/tshirts.htm

If you have some funny slogans that you think would work on our
shirts, please send them to info@brewcrew.ie

The National Advisory Committee on Drugs Needs You!

They are looking for someone to "Prepare an overview on one or more of the following areas relating to up to date scientific information on Cannabis drugs which would highlight gaps in our knowledge." Do you have the right stuff to help the government fill in the gaps, join the dots, change the CD, whatever...The deadline is Thursday 16 May, 2002. You can make your application at this genuine link.

1. Horseplay Ends in Tears as Usual.

Book 'em Danno. The world's largest retailer came to a halt when two ejits rode their horses through a Wal-Mart in the southern Arkansas town of El Dorado, police said Wednesday. Both men were arrested for being absolutely langers. Great story though.

2. Alrite (the dj's got it pumpin')

Last weeks plug for Ireland's brand new male solo RnB artist has helped him chart in the Top Ten this week. His name is Luke Thomas, and his first single (Alrite the dj's got it pumpin') came out last
week. Nice site with audio downloads at http://www.lukethomas.ie

3. Pint Man Develops RSI

A psychology student has been struck down with a repetitive strain injury, what some folks dub RSI, by continuously lifting his pint glass at his local. "Matt Royle is the first person I have ever seen in my career with RSI caused by drinking beer," explains specialist physiotherapist Jan Davison. RSI can develop when a tendon becomes inflamed from continuous repetitive movement. Often associated with some racket sports, video games and computer keyboard use. Are you next? This guy visits his local four nights a week and drinks six pints each time. He should consider switching to a funnel.

4. Pilsner Urquell on the March.

Expect to see Czech brewed Pilsner Urquell around a lot more. South African Breweries are planning a $10 million a year global advertising spree to lift this tasty beers exposure and see it push for inclusion among the world's top ten selling beers.

5. Adverts on Beer Cans Chaos

Japanese brewer Suntory plan to sell adverts on the sides of its beer can to bring the price down. I'm sure you can think of some perfect co-branding experiences. Royal Dutch, Abrakebabra and Nitelink might make a great combo for Dublin.
